MANCHESTER, England — Thousands of worshippers gathered at Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium on Saturday, September 26, for the 2026 NSPPD UK Prayer Conference led by Nigerian Pastor Jerry Eze. Punch Newspapers
The gathering was organized by Streams of Joy International and brought Christians from across the United Kingdom and other countries together for prayer, worship and fellowship. Admission was free, although participants were encouraged to register in advance because space was limited. Punch Newspapers
Eze, who leads Streams of Joy International and the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations prayer platform, was joined by gospel ministers including Mercy Chinwo, Dunsin Oyekan, Sunmisola Agbebi and Kaestrings. Punch Newspapers
Photos and videos from the conference showed large sections of the famous football stadium filled with worshippers participating in prayer, praise and musical worship.
Old Trafford normally has a capacity of approximately 74,000 for football matches. Although some reports circulated higher attendance estimates, an independently confirmed final attendance figure for the prayer conference has not been established. Multiple reports describe the crowd as numbering in the thousands. Punch Newspapers
Interest in the gathering was strong enough that some people were unable to enter. Eze later apologized to worshippers who traveled to Manchester but were turned away, saying attendees had traveled from countries including Australia, North Macedonia and Sweden. Punch Newspapers
The Old Trafford gathering reflects the international reach of NSPPD, which developed a large online prayer audience before expanding into major in-person gatherings.
For Whole Bible believers, the gathering provides a striking example of thousands of people coming together publicly for prayer, worship and Christian fellowship in one of the United Kingdom’s best-known stadiums.
