JERUSALEM, Israel — Around 3,000 Christians from nations around the world gathered in Israel for the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem's 2026 Feast of Tabernacles celebration during Sukkot.

The six-day gathering, running from September 25 through September 30, brings Christians from dozens of countries to Israel for worship, Bible teaching, prayer and events in Jerusalem.

Organizers expected approximately 3,000 participants from more than 70 countries to take part in this year's celebration.

The gathering opened Friday evening at Kfar HaNokdim in the Judean Desert with worship and a message centered on this year's theme, "The Lord Roars from Zion."

The celebration then moved to Jerusalem, where participants gathered at the International Convention Center for the traditional Roll Call of the Nations. Flags representing 68 nations were presented as Christians from different countries and church traditions gathered together.

The week's program also includes Bible teaching, prayer gatherings, worship, the Jerusalem March and a Communion service at the Garden Tomb.

The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem, which organizes the annual celebration, was established in Jerusalem in 1980.

ICEJ connects its Feast of Tabernacles gathering with the biblical relationship between the nations, Jerusalem and Sukkot described in Zechariah 14.

Sukkot, or the Feast of Tabernacles, is one of the appointed times described in Scripture and one of the three biblical pilgrimage festivals.

The presence of Christians from many nations in Jerusalem during the festival reflects continued Christian interest in Israel and in the biblical setting and significance of Sukkot.
