Imagine a deception so convincing that it does not look like deception.

It comes with signs.

It comes with wonders.

It comes with supernatural power.

It comes with worldwide acceptance.

It comes with religious authority.

It comes with Jerusalem.

And it comes with people you respect telling you that this is the work of God.

What if, in that moment, your eyes could deceive you?

What if your ears could deceive you?

What if what you experienced—what you felt—what you witnessed with your own senses—could actually lead you away from the true Messiah?

And what if even respected Christian leaders could be deceived?

Yahshua warned us that the deception at the End would be so powerful that, if possible, even the elect would be deceived.

So how do we survive a deception that powerful?

Not by trusting our feelings.

Not by trusting our intuition.

Not by trusting supernatural manifestations.

And ultimately, not even by trusting a human teacher.

We need something more solid than that.

We need Truth that does not change.

Long before Yahshua was born, Yahweh gave His people a way to identify the Messiah. He gave us the prophecies of the BRANCH—specific prophetic fingerprints that would identify the One and only Messiah.

And then, remarkably, we have five Gospel witnesses deliberately chronicling the record of Yahshua's authentication in His fulfillment of those Messianic credentials (the BRANCH Prophecies).

The first coming of Messiah was authenticated by the Word.

So should we expect the final counterfeit to be authenticated by the Word?

No.

The counterfeit will appeal to everything that can overwhelm the senses—signs, wonders, spectacle, supernatural power, religious authority, political acceptance, and even an apparent connection to Jerusalem.

Revelation calls the spirits behind this final deception “the spirits of demons, working signs.”

And the apostle John gives us another name for the power behind the counterfeit: the spirit of Antichrist.

So the question we need to answer is not simply: “Will we recognize the Antichrist?”

The more important question is: “Will we know the TRUE Messiah so thoroughly that we cannot be persuaded to transfer our allegiance to the counterfeit?”

Because the safest defense against darkness is not studying darkness. It is knowing the Light. And that Light is the Word.

In this World Watch we're going to examine the BRANCH prophecies, the Gospel record of their fulfillment in Yahshua, and why those prophetic witnesses are the most important safeguards Yahweh has given us against the deception that is coming.
